Hello my name is Kasey and the date today is 1/8/09
To start out the day we went in and sat in the gym while all of the other people got there. Then, finally everyone got there, and we went up to class and started on our morning work, which can be expected every morning. Today though, it was about LCM's or Least Common Multiples. I find this sometimes pretty tricky.
Next, we looked at a few people's Slide Rockets. Slide Rocket is a website where its pretty much just like power point only on the internet I think its really cool. So if you have the 2008 version of power point and you have to hook up a flash drive to a different computer that has the 2003 version it won't work. So on Slide Rocket you just have to log in and there it is.
Then at about 9:00 we moved on to Choco. Choco is a little chocolate monster, and we are on a hunt for him. Today he was in Virginia we learned about Allentown and about that it has a graveyard there that is pretty famous. Allentown also has the tomb of the unknown soldier. I thought that was interesting to learn about.
A little later we got into discussing what we are going to do on this mystery project thing we are trying to convince people one way or another about unknown mysterys like black holes, big foot, or mermaids. My partner Erin and I picked area 51. I think this project is going to be a blast.
Then, we went outside for a 30 minute recess. Then finally we had to go inside for science lab we worked with mirrors to see different pictures. I found this rather boring.
After that, we went back to the class room to Mrs.Truby and she had a note on her desk. The note said Mrs.Truby is a stinking rat. Then we used Chromatography to try and figure out who it was. Of course it was fake though.
Finally, we washed our hands and went to lunch. Isabelle and Tyler were fighting about something I didn't really pay attention. After lunch we went to recess. I played with Megan, Hannah, and Erin. Then, it was time for band. Band is my least favorite part of the day. I play the clarinet. Right after band we correct DOL. We have been doing DOL since we were in first grade. So its pretty easy.
It was almost the end of the day, but we still had to do math we work on adding fractions with mixed numbers.Then Emme bought us an extra recess so we packed our stuff, went outside, and then went home. Except for some of us who do Lego Mindstorms. It's building and programing robots. I like programing better. Then it was finally the end of the day and time to go home.
